1¡¢Tenable time
Our department was established in August, 2000, and at that time chose a name as electronic and the information science department. After the Qinghai nationality college and the original Qinghai pedagogical college level specialty school substantive merge in April, 2002, we changed the name as the electronic engineering and the information science department with the conformity of the original Qinghai pedagogical college level specialty school electron engineering department.
2¡¢ Organization survey
The respective main unit includes: the office, lab center, the physical faculty working office, the electric circuit and the signal system faculty working office, electronic and the communication faculty working office, the computer and the information management faculty working office.
3¡¢ Teachers troop condition
At present there are 43 teaching and administrative staffs , and includes 31 specialized or part-time teachers , 6 the experiment technical personnel, 1 the professional instructor , 5 the administration full time personnel. Among the teachers¡¯ troop there are 3 professors (occupy all the total number of people 7%, all specialized technical personnel 9.7%), 11 associate professors (occupy all the total number of people 25.6%, all specialized technical personnel 35.5%), 9 intermediate title personnel (occupy all the total number of people 20.9%, all specialized technical personnel 29%), 12 primary and has not evaluated the title personnel (occupy all the total number of people 27.9%, all specialized technical personnel 38.7%), and the national minority teaching and administrative staffs (occupy all the total number of people 25.6%).
Since 2000, we had been sent out 12 teachers to go to inland university successively to take advanced courses by the many kinds of forms pursues advanced studies. At present there are 5 persons completed studies assiduously the graduate student same level school record department duty, and some 5 are studying assiduously the graduate student same level school record. And 4 young teachers have completed the study of specialized changed.
In order to increase the discipline construction dynamics, prompt our specialty level, cultivate the emerging using specialty, our department has also invited 7 visiting professors from the Shen yang industrial university, the Dalian University of Science and Technology, the Xi'an University of Science and Technology, the Xi'an engineering University and the Qinghai normal university, and the majority of them have systematically taught the specialized fundamental course for the undergraduate student, some one have carried on and are carrying on and the drilling industry construction, and some concrete instruction about the aspect of discipline development and the non-periodical academic course. With their instruction and help, we are being full of confidence with our discipline development prospect.
4¡¢The student gauge model
Now there are 791 students (and 441 male students, 350 female students, 521 undergraduate students, 270 faculty students). And 21 instructors classes (13 undergraduate classes, 8 faculty classes). Especially there are 260 students who come from other provinces , that occupies all the student total 33%, and includes 293 the national minority students , that occupies all the student total 37%.
5¡¢Specialized construction situation
At present, our department is equipped with the electronic information science and the technology (in 2000 starts to recruit students), the information management and the information system (in 2000 starts to recruit students), the physics (pedagogical direction), the educational technique study (in 2004 starts to recruit students) and the communication engineering (in 2005 starts to recruit students) 5 undergraduate courses specialties, and there are the office automation, the computer information management, the communication, the application electronic technology, the physical education 7 faculty courses specialties. At the same time each specialty has its own integrity teaching control system and the standard document and a good development situation.
6¡¢Experimental instrument condition
Since our department has been established, the institute especially focuses on the construction and development of our discipline. For the laboratory construction each year we allocate the certain amount of funds to use to purchase the instrumentation equipments even in the funds extremely scarce situation. Since 2000, the amount which has continuously invested was nearly 3 million Yuan. We have successively constructed several specialized experimental branches which are about the electric circuit and the signal system, the electrician and the electron, the mold electricity and the number electricity, the electronic technology, computer, and communication engineering. This kind of investment dynamics is unique in the development history of our college. At present there are altogether 3,135 experiment instrumental equipments, the total value amounts to 450 ten thousand Yuan, and there are 877 instrumentation equipments is above 800 Yuan, total value amounts to nearly 4 million Yuan. These instrumentation equipments¡¯ purchases and the laboratory establishment has fully guaranteed entire college¡¯s undergraduate and the faculty specialized experiment teaching duty¡¯s completely complete. And the scale of electric circuit and the signal system, the electronic technology, computer and communication engineering specialized experimental branches is absolutely in the lead level in the province, also is in the advanced level in northwest local university.
Moreover, in the Japanese Yen loan project, originally was has formulated including instrumentation equipment altogether 630 which I about the electronic craft practice system, the electronic design automation (EDA) the technology. The total amount amounted to 4.17 million Yuan.
7¡¢ Teaching management
In order to improve the teaching quality, since the commented constructs work has developed, we have widely solicited the general teaching and administrative staffs¡¯ opinion and have repeatedly discussed, collected opinions from various sources, revised successively, supplemented, formulates 50 items including the teaching management document and system ,the teaching policing method, the teaching teacher responsibility, the teacher professional behavior criterion, the classroom taught standard, the system of attending a lecture , the teaching accident processing means, which powerfully promoted our teaching standardization and the management institution.
8¡¢our reference room
There is a 80 square meters specialized reference room, and it can holds 35 persons studying and reading , There are 6,300 volume books and reference materials, 150 kinds of phantom material , 42 kinds of magazines, 19 kinds of newspapers of 2005. It is equipped with several hardware equipments including the computer, the duplicator, the scanner, engraves recording machine, digital photographic camera, that can provides the services of studying and the scientific research for our teachers and students. To the end of 2004 the total investment funds for the construction of our reference room amounted to 120,000 Yuan, and it really became the important base-room for our teachers and students to study, and do some scientific research.
9¡¢Discipline localization
By close integration with the development tendency and the request of two big pillar industries---electron and the information, facing the general national minorities and the national minority area on our own initiative, we increases the usable specialized cultivation dynamics, educates by the undergraduate course primarily, and faculty teaching coordinated development, diligently for Qinghai and even western area economic development and social development to raise electronic information application senior special talented person.
10¡¢Development goal
Focusing on the high speed developing electronic information industry, facing the economy develop of the main battlefield of Qinghai and even the multi-national west area and with high concentration, we dare to overcome difficulties, study earnestly, surpass advance, strive to get first-class. By three year¡¯s hard endeavor, in the foundation of the earnest transformation and striving to operate the existing various undergraduate courses specialized, we always focus on opening up the specialized channel positively, strengthen the discipline development dynamics, strive for invests in every way, prompt the specialized level, apply for diligently successful "the electronic science and the technology" and "the electronic information engineering" two undergraduate courses specialized and construct one to two provincial levels key laboratories.
With positively enlarge the teachers¡¯ raise dynamics, through five year¡¯s difficult endeavor, our department¡¯s teachers¡¯ troop construction leaps to the new stair, and reverses the lacking of teachers ¡®situation. The concrete plan is: At first to 2007 the number of professors amount to 8, and 12 associate professors, 14 lecturers; Secondly the specialty unsuitable old or young teachers complete the duty of specialized change; Moreover the ones who are below 35 years old and graduated with the faculty diploma specialized technical personnel plan to complete the "rise the specialty to undergraduate"; At last the graduate student proportion of the young teacher who are below 35 years old achieves 40%. In order to form a high- ability teachers¡¯ troop with the reasonable structure, and the school record level of attaining a designated standard, the essence service, and the high quality.
