The International
Educational Exchange Center is responsible for international exchange
and cooperation, and other aspects of foreign affairs. With an environment
of "peace and development" over the years, the university
is committed to reform, expansion, cooperation, development, and
actively making friends. Our Center has been trusted by and received
favorable comments from foreigners. We are experienced in the education
of international students and placement of foreign teachers. The
university has trained more than 500 short- and long-term students
from 20 countries and regions since 1983. In addition, we have placed
more than 30 foreign teachers at our university. This cooperation
has increased the popularity of our university over time.
International student education has become an
indispensable and important aspect of our university. We work with
the Chinese Language Teaching Division within the International
Educational Exchange Center. The university provides professional
and part-time teachers who have a wealth of experience teaching
and knowledge of foreign affairs policy. The university offers small
group classes and flexible teaching styles for students with varying
interests: culture, language, research and so on. We strive to meet
the needs of all kinds of students interested in language training.
The university also offers Chinese language undergraduate courses
for foreign students. The school provides a dormitory for international
students with friendly service and a secure environment for daily
living.
The university actively promotes exchange and
cooperation with foreign universities in order to follow the trend
of internationalizing university education. We also are committed
to the foreign affairs policy of welcoming foreigners and promoting
travel and study abroad. We have established the Ħ°One Plus OneĦħ
master training program with the German Technical University in
Dresden (entailing one year of study at our university and one year
study abroad in Germany) and the Ħ°Two Plus TwoĦħ undergraduate training
program with the Europe-Asia Management Institute of France (entailing
two years of study at our university and two years study abroad
in France). We also have established the Ħ°NanZan Asian Action PlanĦħ
(NAP) with the NanZan University in Japan. The university also cooperates
with North American universities to hold Ħ°One to OneĦħ student summer
camp activities (in which North American students are paired with
Chinese students for the summer). These programs not only provide
the students with a good basis for study abroad, but also enhance
the friendship and understanding between Chinese and foreign university
students.
In the employment of foreign teachers, the university
receives government assistance and subsidies from overseas educational
organizations as well as supports teachers with university funds.
The university actively expands the number of foreign teachers each
year. At the beginning, there were only three foreign teachers.
Now there are seven foreign teachers at our university. This increase
supports foreign language training at our university.
Faced with the new style of international education,
we will continue to blaze new trails to strengthen cooperation with
foreign universities and educational organizations, to expand the
number of international students, to improve teaching quality, to
increase work efficiency, and to offer foreign teachers positions.
Overall, our goal is to enhance the internationalization and development
of education.
